Chris Kemp…..

is the founder and principal of Starmakers. Married with 3 children, he has lived in Harrogate all his life, where he has performed on the amateur stage for over 20 years. He has also appeared semi-professionally in productions in the North East and West Yorkshire. Chris has trained as a theatre director, is the vocalist in 2 local professional bands and is currently the Chairman of local amateur group ‘Harrogate Operatic Players’.

Samantha Hastings…..

is a trained dance teacher and currently teaches at Harrogate High School. She gained her professional teaching qualification in 2003 from Preston Dance College.  As well as teaching she also runs Diamond Dance School in Harrogate and has a huge amount of experience of working with children. Sam has also performed for many years on the amateur stage with a number of local societies.

Michelle Beckett…..

has a theatre degree, and has previously worked as a drama teacher for Stagecoach. She has extensive experience of drama workshops with children in Lancashire & Yorkshire. Michelle has also performed for over 20 years in plays and musicals, including semi-professionally at the Edinburgh Festival.

Abi Sutcliffe…..

is currently a student at Harrogate Grammer School and helps us on Thursdays and during the holiday clubs. She is a student at Samantha Hastings dance school and has appeared in many productions both through the dance school and at the Grammer school.

Jessica Cliff…..

is currently a student at Harrogate Grammer School and helps us during the holiday clubs. Currently a student of Samantha Hastings dance school she has appeared in productions for the dance school and also the Grammer school. Jess is currently in rehearsals for Summer Holiday with Harrogate’s Deanery Players and she will be on stage at the Harrogate Theatre early in 2010.

Becky Leigh…..

is currently a student at Harrogate High School and helps us on Saturdays and during the holiday clubs. Becky also dances at Samantha Hastings dance school and has appeared in many productions for both the dance school and Harrogate High School. Becky has recently just been seen dancing in the Harrogate Theatre pantomime Aladdin.
